I was talking to Ryder a couple times this summer and as always, he don't talk much hockey. Im sure he talks about it with his close friends but not openly in the community. One night after he had quite a few drinks we were talking about his brother who I went to school and played hockey with. I hinted around to a question of what he thinks went wrong with the Habs this season? Was it Price? Was the smaller players getting run down?....

As I already knew before I asked, he didn't say too much about it. But he did answer and say something like "Nah, after the losing streak before the playoffs, the morale just took a poop and never recovered." He went on to say that he saw Therrien's attitude do a complete 180 from when he first got traded from Dallas. At first he was really professional and talked about no excuses. Then towards the end of the season and especially in the playoffs, he got really whiny and it annoyed the players. It really rubbed off on the them and there were also a few dressing room issues.

I didnt have the balls to tell him that he sucked in the playoffs

You have to understand something though. We know for a fact that Desharnais' numbers will continue to go down while Eller will double his production compared to last year.

It is guaranteed. 100%

Ask Pat.

Eller? Oh, we're talking 140-160 points if healthy. Easy.

Do you derive a lot of joy from scissors? Or just from garden-variety illiteracy?

Dear Yan,

Would you rather have Phil as a top 10 scorer for years to come and Bozak over Grabo. Or would you rather have Grabo over Bozak and Phil taking a hometown discount to play with Wild after this season?

- DoubleDown

Damn, very very good question.
I'm already busy with trying to understand the few NJ fans who believe they should trade Henrique ASAP before he becomes a UFA in 4 years.

True. Too bad it wasn't an 82 game season. They might have McKinnon or Drouin now

Yeah Bonavista slang is even worse than the rest of Newfie slang. We can understand each other, but even other Newfies outside a 15km radius don't understand us
