Yeah I know. UOttawa is the only place in Canada where they give this masters. They only take 6 students per year. The problem isn't to graduate, it's to be accepted in the program. A friend of mine from New Brunswick, 110% bilingual with a translation degree, everything you could ask from an interpreter, was refused. I'd have no chance.
And it's not really something I'm interested into. I went to translation because I like to write, so I'll probably stick to written translation. I like school, so I'll probably do a certificate in some other field, probably in Law. If the translation market doesn't get back on its feet, I'll probably try to become a French teacher.
