They asked him to blow, he said he just finished work. They said they didn't give a poop about his BAC. |

Actually it wasn't even a ride program or seat belt check. There was an accident at the intersection of the highway on my route home.
The cops were there controlling traffic so I did what I am supposed to do. I came to a stop and awaited direction from the officers. I waited, and I waited, and I waited some more. There are other cars moving through the intersection with the lights so eventually I get sick of sitting there and decide to make my way through next time I have the green light.
Cop then stops me and starts in on me yelling at me through the window of my truck "did you not see the police vehicle with the flashing lights going in the intersection" I said "yes officer I did, and I stopped to await instruction as I'm supposed to do but no one approached me and when I observed other vehicles passing through the intersection with the lights I decided to proceed"
He then yells at me "the police vehicle with the flashing lights parked in the lane wasn't enough of an indication to you that the intersection is closed? I'm not sure how I can make it anymore clear" At this point I just apologized and let him rant for another minute or so, the guy is losing his poop on me and finally when he's done we sit there staring at each other for 30 seconds (which doesn't sound long unless you sitting there staring down a cop) finally he says "continue through the intersection and watch for the officer standing there" I was so tempted to lay into the ignorant wiener but I thought better of it. |

Typical cop... senses passiveness and feels the need to flex his badge-power.

It is 100% how it happened, I'm not entirely sure that I was 100% in the right either, but I did apologize regardless and the cop didn't need to be a Richard about it. |
