I'd take Luongo at 5.3m for the next 6 years over whomever the Leafs have, or will have once they realize Bernier is nothing more than a glorified backup.

I hope that there is a trade in the works, you guys have the pieces. The problem is that Darcy has an unrealistic asking price that cannot be met. Merrill, Boucher, and a 2nd would do. Darcy is probably asking for something around the value of Henrique, Merrill, and a 2015 1st, which is totally ridiculous.

Those are three of our best prospects. Boucher beat Stamkos's scoring record. Lou would be mad to risk losing him before we see what he can really do. I don't think the offer would be nearly that high, and I'm sure Buffalo won't give him away.

There's nothing wrong with that. I know for a fact they are all jealous of us, to have the best goalie currently in the NHL and have him locked up for almost another decade I bet if Gillis had been dumb enough to Buy him out, there would have been 29 offers presented to him.

Schneider benefited from playing behind the best defensive line up in the league the last couple years. He's going to be in for a surprise when he doesn't have guys like Hamhuis, Bieksa, Edler and Garrison infront of him. That's if he even gets a chance to play. He'll be backup in NJ to Marty.
