I used to frequent there a while back, some pretty decent stuff on there.

I won't even put this at the point of much more than a murmur right now, but there is a source I really trust who tells me that while the Sabres are playing it extremely close to the vest, and acting as if there is not much of a chance Ryan Miller will be moved in the near future, that may not EXACTLY be the case...

There may indeed be a deal that Ryan Miller himself is mulling over at this time and those I talk to truly feel he may be leaning towards accepting the deal.

Why?

A) he's benefitted from playing alongside Tavares... Will he still be decent? Probably... But I doubt he's a 30goal scorer here... Just look what playing w Tavares did for Boyes

B) his age doesn't really for in with our "rebuild" does it? It makes sense to me to go after a younger NHLer or a prospect(s)

C) he's UFA after this season... It's probably pretty unlikely he'd re-sign here

D) if the Isles are trading for Miller (or Vanek), that means they are going for the playoffs NOW... So why would they trade one of their better roster players? They'd be more likely to deal picks/prospects... They have plenty of cap space

Maybe he's deciding if going to a team like that for one year is worth it
Or maybe whatever deal is on the table is contingent on Miller agreeing to an extension?
