It's getting pretty tedious with these two. Much like the Sabres team itself though, people will keep coming despite the sub-par product.

If you had to build a team right now and could list 5 players, hoping you could get one then what would your list look like?

Maybe it's just because I'm a Devils fan, but I agree in building out of defense; perhaps goaltending as well. I think one amazing defenseman does more for a team than one amazing forward.

My 5 would probably be:

1. Karlsson
2. Lundqvist
3. Ekman-Larsson
4. Pietrangelo
5. Tavares

(If you can't tell, I think Sweden will be very good in Sochi)

I'd maybe go Crosby over JT but the injury history is a bit of a factor and I think JT's just getting started.

Maybe I'm too high on Ekman-Larsson and Pietrangelo, but in my opinion they're already debatable top 10 D-men in the league and are 22 and 23 respectively.

Nothing would make me happier than seeing Adam Larsson taking that next step and getting on the level of one of those guys. The talent is there, just needs to develop. He's only 20 so there's time.

Seriously, for a team with absolutely nothing going on, and doesn't even intend to be competitive this season, there are way to many blogs. We don't need new blogs, the regulars here make our own discussions and create our own topics. Its actually more disruptive to the community to have several blogs a day.
