If the Sedins come off the books and we get rid of Booth and Lu is traded . We would have over 30 mil in cap space and could take a different direction.

And with the cap likely increasing by 3 million or more next year some GM's are going to get crazy again if any of these guys make it to UFA. What happens if the Sedins walk and you can't land any of them? Ask Oilers fans how fun it has been to suck these last few years, the only time they get excited is during draft time and during pre-season when they can all jack off to the young guys.

Your missing the point. If we walk from the Sedins trade Lu and get rid of Booth we become the team like the Oilers and Leafs were a few years back. The names may change of who is available but a lot of teams are getting close to the cap ceiling while we could be in there with wallets wide open for stars that want to test FA.
