Eller 86 hits last year. Second on our team. We get more physical, harder to play against. Eller has been used primarily in a shutdown role in Montreal and done well. He has some offensive upside.

Agreed. Nor would I if I was Montreal. Said it last yr at the draft, Gally will be the best all around player from the 2012 draft. And he was without question the best player from that draft playing last yr. I think that will last.

They wouldn't give up Galchenyuk. He's their future #1 C. Like I said, quality young top line centers are extremely difficult to find and/or trade for.

Its pretty clear IMO Gill is is trying to build his team like the kings/bruins. So a big all around guy like patches or gally would make sense. I agree that patches is fair value. Contracts are close as well
