Yeah I think Rodin is gone from the NA game for good. He's the perfect example of player who probably would have done very well here if the NHL had Hybrid or International sized rinks, but with the midget rinks his skill could never shine through and his body couldn't take the pounding.

Yeah we were pining that trade possibility the other day when Ian brought it up. I would do that trade straight up. If we really wanted to haggle maybe Edler for Max + 3rd but I think the 2 players are fairly close in value already.

I'd prefer Pacioretty. Gallagher is the one that got away though, a great talent on our doorstep (Giants) that the Canucks scouting staff seemed to miss entirely.

Yeah that'll take even more than Edler. #1 centers don't grow on trees and are notoriously hard to trade for. MTL no doubt see him as their future #1.

Agree...would like to see him in a canucks jersey.

I know we all like to rip Ek because of his stellar 0.001% success rate, but a trade for Galchenyuk or Pacioretty would work nicely for the canucks...depending what pieces are going the other way.

All-star defenders should net you more than a third line C and picks. If we're trading Edler we need to have a better player returning than Lars Eller.
