I just fear my marrige turning into a dictatorship ( wife being the dictator). While it hasn't happened fully yet, I know if it does, that's something I won't be able to tolerate. Hopefully it won't come to this.

I wonder if what Encarnacion just did has ever happened before, he hit a home-run and a grand-slam in the same inning.

Dude... you're in your mid-forties and you have'nt realized this yet?!

Women are always the dictator... it's just they way they present it, that's all.

A good women pretends that you have all the power and strokes your ego (whilst still knowing she has the power).

A bad woman waves her iron fist around and demands your balls every week along with your paycheque.

Great analogy T. I guess of the two options, you have to pick your poison. Lucky for me my wife is the 1st option. I feel sorry for any guy married to the 2nd option.

You can always count on the Houston Astros to make the blue jays look like super heroes.

I hear what you're saying.. But honestly.. After the train wreck I've witnessed this season... My jaw wouldn't drop if Houston used us as the ugly chick slumpbuster

Yes after a miserable Blue Jay season that is going no where, with the bashing of the terrible Houston Astros, I guess the Jays fans will be going up & down Yonge St tonight shouting, THE JAYS ARE BACK!!!

Is there another penalty free buyout period before the season starts?

A lot of teams appear to be over the cap; especially if you consider bonuses.

Ive been a Blue Jays fan for 20 solid years. I was only five when they won there first world series so unfortuntley I don't remember it. But I closely associate them with my papa who passed away two years ago. Whenever Id have time I'd love to go to my papas house and watch the Jays game with him.

And in hindsight, That's what its all about. They don't win, So be it. But I get to enjoy my family and watch horrible baseball at the same time. It brilliant.

THIS is just it.. And I don't think you could have put it any better.. Some of my best memories in life, in some way shape or format, have happened with my friends family (my oldest son in particular) while we were all gathered together to watch some of the worst hockey baseball or some other forms of Toronto based punishment... He'll, as I was bent down on one knee proposing to my wif, Cory (frank)ing Scwabb eliminated the leafs from post season contention.. ((frank)ing bittersweet memory that one is) but you're right.. It brings everyone together.. And closer... And that really is what it's all about.. So you know what.. Carl can keep his money, as long as we are being entertained! (note the gunnerson reference, since there is 40 pages of griping about his salary)

Ladies and gentlemen, don't turn away just yet! We have a latecomer making a charge for the worst signing of the off-season!

Clowe has a little competition now. The Jets clearly had to pay the Winnipeg Premium to get get Wheeler to re-sign in Manitoba. Edmonton must be happy they're under the radar again.

All 'dems monies for 64 pts and/or 21 g?! Did we not just come out of a lockout?
It's getting worse.

P.S. Kulemin gets 19.87 million for 57 years next year... book it.

I'm (frank)ing done with this (frank)ing league.

Yeah I don't understand these crazy contracts. I don't think we're in a heep of trouble next year. Kessel gets the 2.5 as we all have said. Phaneuf I feel gets his contract again (6.5aav for 5+ yrs). Kulemin gets Liles contract of 3.8 unless he realllly lights it up. Bolland and McClement I don't think would get much of a raise, maybe $500k. Reimer is the only question mark really, but with the cap likely going up 5-6 million, I think the Leafs will be fine.

I do enjoy the fact that we have talented enough players to push us right to the cap. Only Clarkson and Liles are the contracts that are a mil or so off in my eyes. The Lupul and JVR contracts are looking like absolute bargains. A teams contract situation will never be perfect, but I think Burke did a great job. I wish we never fired him
