I'm not ripping Sundin down. He was not a superstar calibre player for his era. He was really good, but not superstar is all. It's the same way people are overvaluing Dion, he's a good d man, but to put him with the best guys in the NHL is just wrong, he isn't there. I'm not the only person that feels this way. There's been a big debate the last number of years at the quality of guys they have started to let in and whether it's warranted. No cups, no nothing. Not even a top ten crack. I'm not hating, just saying...

Carried the team through 2 rounds of the playoffs, and 7 AHL guys. Enough for me.

He's not untradeable, that's your assumption. His contract isn't even that bad, nor is his salary hit. It's just a matter of him not fitting into Carlyle's system and having Gardiner basically take his spot. He's still a serviceable player on the right team.
