Hornquist might be an interesting dynamic with the Sedins. I honestly don't think he'd be effective for us on any other line IMO. Don't know too much about the other prospects. |

We won't do much this season. I don't like our coach, I don't think we've improved this team at all over last season. I've accepted it so I'm not worried. And if we do make some kind run in the playoffs then it'll be like 94' all over again with every added victory being extra gravy on top. - AlexF

Sissons is a center in the mold of Ryan Kesler, but with better leadership skills and a better playmaker and without the diving. Lasko is 3/4 (potential at least) stay-at-home D-man that plays a lot like Mitchell.

If that's all he's bringing to the locker room no wonder his teams have been so sh!t for so long. Seriously though I can't wait for this guy's press conference when the Canucks are in the midst of a 5 game losing streak, they're not scoring, Gillis is preaching calm given the inevitable "adjustment phase", all with a goalie controversy simmering in the background. I'm clearing out my PVR for space come October. |

Based on his play at Winnipeg I thought he'd be a perfect fit as a playmaking winger on the Kesler line. That said, my valuation for him would have been around the 4m per mark over something like 3 or 4 years. 5.6m for 6 is a rather gross overpayment but on the Jets he's a top liner and his agent would have been pushing that button all day. |

When he is on he's worth every penny.
The problem is he's only on 30% of the time. |

On the money. I watched him since he came into the league and have been impressed many nights, and wanting more most nights. I would have thought 4-4.5.

I guess the Professional bookmakers dont agree with you since Pitt has the 2nd best odds for winning the cup.
Chicago Blackhawks 6/1
Pittsburgh Penguins 13/2
Boston Bruins 10/1
Los Angeles Kings 12/1
St. Louis Blues 12/1
Detroit Red Wings 16/1
Vancouver Canucks 16/1
San Jose Sharks 18/1
Edmonton Oilers 20/1
Minnesota Wild 20/1
New York Rangers 20/1
Anaheim Ducks 22/1
Toronto Maple Leafs 22/1
But I guess you are the expert though. - Bluechip23
Professional bookmaker's jobs are not to predict who will actually win. Their job is to set lines that will enable approximately even betting on either side to ensure profit.
Have you not watched Pittsburgh the last couple years??? The single most overrated team in the NHL. Zero depth. Awful defence. Even worse goaltending. But go ahead, bet the farm on them. |

I came on here before the Boston series and laid down a bet (against PITT) to anyone who would take it. No one did. I think we all inherently know that PITT aren't good enough in their current form to make a run at the cup but yet everyone seems to fall in love with their roster on paper every year all over again.
More of a concern if I were a PITT fan is that Shero seems to be oblivious as to what ails that team. They need defence and goaltending, not aging forwards with lofty names and a glacial skating 5/6 D. Even now, in this offseason, he should be buying out (or trading if that's possible) Fleury, yet because he's won a cup with them, Shero continues to insist he's their guy. Madness I tell ya. |

He had it coming and he's lucky to only get a day. I'm pretty lenient when people reply to trolls, but there is no need to use homophobic language when trying to tell someone you disagree with them. Similarly, chauvinistic insults and incest comments are out of bounds. Let's try to keep it a little classy in here please. |

If Barrasso could last for 12 season, Fluery can do it too.
Maybe this year they grab up Miller at the deadline. |
