Anaheim still makes the playoffs in my opinion. I think the wildcard will come down to Edmonton, Dallas, and Phoenix - james
theyre prob the favs anyway.
but there's 2 wildcard spots available outside the top 3 in each division.
if I had to guess now, id say them and then a dogfight between about 4 teams for the other one |

First thought: ever try to log into some account of yours from a different computer than normal and, even though you KNOW you got the username and password right, it will not log you on!!
Anyways, I have been dying to comment on this all day. And I can NOG begin to disagree with the Fla/Buf trade. Seriously? The dumbest trade proposal ever. Markstrom and Bjugstad are the two top prospects in this organization not playing in the NHL full time right now. I would take Bjugstad tomorrow over anything Hodgson, and Miller is A) only signed for another season and we WOULD lose him and B) he doesn't want to be here. I will talk Markstrom and all he brings to the table over Miller. That is just wishful thinking on whomever suggested that. Come on people, use your brains. |

Not exactly, the wildcard spots are for the teams that are not in the top 3 in the division but have the most points. One division could conceivably send 5 teams to the playoffs. |

I know. I didn't suggest otherwise.
I said 3 spots from each division. and then 2 wildcards |

My bad, your wording suggested that there were two wildcard spots available in each division. |

I totally respect all the differing opinions on Anaheim and the immediate effect or lack there of of Torts as out new Commander and Chief but I think ... in my humble opinion... that this is a new division, with equal games across the board and a new playoff structure....
I honestly don't know where to rank Vancouver. This could be a crazy season where I could see them fighting for top 3, battling for a spot, or being out by Valentines day.
Too many variables to honestly call anything. (Expect the deeply obvious like very first and very last in most divisions.)

and to be honest, I know there are new Metrosexuals and other new divisions but I have not yet really looked at them... nor do I understand how the playoffs work.
At least they got rid of the Shoot out!

Actually , for the first time in years, maybe prior to the Bertuzzi, Naslund, Morrison era... I am not all that optimistic this year. I would find it hard to believe we would be bad enough to get a top 10 pick, but this year, I am worried. |

I mean... just this fact alone worries me....
We expect the Sedins to lead the team in scoring and keep up a great tempo even though:
1. Year Older
2. New Coaching Style
3. Play a Full Season
4. Add a lengthy and intense Olympic tournament.
... then we expect them to be fresh for the playoffs.
I worry, and I think I have right to be. |

To VAN- Halak and Pieterangelo
For
To STL- Jensen, Luongo, Edler and a 1st rd pick
My Thoughts- In theory, it's not too bad. But again, the Blues aren't dealing their franchise defenceman. - IanEsplen
LMAO
Trying to trade Luongo is like trying to sell surfboards in Kansas. You guys still haven't figured that out yet?

Sorry, I couldn't get passed Pittsburgh in Tier 1 with CHI, BOS, LA! - KB3Point0
I guess the Professional bookmakers dont agree with you since Pitt has the 2nd best odds for winning the cup.
Chicago Blackhawks 6/1
Pittsburgh Penguins 13/2
Boston Bruins 10/1
Los Angeles Kings 12/1
St. Louis Blues 12/1
Detroit Red Wings 16/1
Vancouver Canucks 16/1
San Jose Sharks 18/1
Edmonton Oilers 20/1
Minnesota Wild 20/1
New York Rangers 20/1
Anaheim Ducks 22/1
Toronto Maple Leafs 22/1
But I guess you are the expert though.

Edler and Higgins for Del Zotto, Brassard and Dorsett - Bieksa#3
Is del zotto good? All I know is he is a young upcoming dman with potential. But I dont know if I would want to give up Edler for him. As for Brassard, it seems as though hes like raymond but more of a playmaker and younger. I like dorsett. |

We won't do much this season. I don't like our coach, I don't think we've improved this team at all over last season. I've accepted it so I'm not worried. And if we do make some kind run in the playoffs then it'll be like 94' all over again with every added victory being extra gravy on top. |
