Well Plek is 30 which is not that bad. So if they do Plek + Beaulieu + 2nd you still think it's not enough? - Frank0721
No, Kane is not yet 22, and has gotten better each year.. As the Jets best player, they'd ask for a lot and would probably get a lot

Every GM would do the same with a young good player. They are not going to start low, because the other GM is always going to try to get him for less.
Unless there is a cap dump situation, even then it porbably start out at like a 4-5 rd pick and ends up at a 6-7. |

Fair enough, perhaps if I throw in a signed Patrick Roy rookie card? |

The Jets are patiently trying to build their roster into a force in a few years. Their core are all young talent. They will have no interest in a 30 yr old who will be 33-34 by the time they are hoping to be not only competitive but a legitimate contender. |

Except Kane wouldn't be a "cap dump". I'm sure 28 other teams would want him too.

I didn't apply that he was ( or at least tried not too), should have been 2 seperate situations. Perhaps i should of stated it better. |

Buffalo is not about to deal their franchise player in Cody Hodgson. They are currently debating whether to make him team captain and certainly not considering trading him. To trade Hodgson would be a grave error. - JLO961

Henrique's our next captain and we haven't signed him yet.
Because we're definitely signing him right? RIGHT?!?
Also that Florida trade is insane, they get fleeced. Take out the first round pick and maybe you could convince someone...keep in mind FLA's 1st rounders for the next couple of years will probably still be pretty high. Miller is on the downswing IMO. - MannySilvers
heard he was going to the KHL |

To FLA- Cody Hodgson and Ryan Miller
For
To BUF- Jacob Markstrom, Ed Jovanovski, Nick Bjugstad and 1st rd pick
Where do I sign?
To DET- Vanek and McNabb
For
To BUF- Tatar, Abdelkader a 2nd(turns to a 1st if Vanek resigns) and the Sabres keep some of Vaneks salary
Vanek and McNabb? No thanks, Tatar and Abdelkader are most likely going to be 3rd liners (tatar might be a bit better) and Vanek playing with Datsyuk pretty much guarantees that 2nd/1st will be a very low pick.
To CHI- Stafford and Ennis
For
To BUF- Sharp
Nice deal but I wouldn't do it now that we're rebuilding given Sharps age and contract, plus I still like Ennis. |

Why would they make Steve Ott captain when they could make Cody Hodgson's dad captain? |

Considering Vanek is a UFA next year I think Buffalo would have to add another piece to make that happen, unless a Vanek extension was involved. |
