I am sorry but if Tropp would not have got hurt in the 1st game playing with the farm team during the lockout he would have started last season with Buffalo and would have most likely ended up with points, equal to or better then COHO well playing a much more physical game. I have no idea why the organization has not come to an agreement with both these youngster. I have watched my fair share of hockey over the years and Tropp is the real deal with a edge the club needs.
Coho and Tropp on the same line would actually be a deadly force considering both have done well together in the past and both are amazing players on special teams. If the team is looking to rebuild around youngsters here you go. |

So Gerbe gets NHL minimum 2 way. Odds he makes the Canes roster out of training camp? - Jacob582

I REALLY like Tropp but his skating (especially after the surgery) and hands are nowhere's near Hodgson's IMO.
I see Tropp making this team and being a MAJOR agitator that teams are going to hate as much as Kaleta. If Kaleta could ever stay healthy (which won't happen) it could be very fun to watch these guys play together. |

Look at what he quoted. GARTH says that Hodgson is our sole unsigned restricted free agent, but then he turns right around and says that Tropp is an RFA as well. Obviously GARTH is making no sense whatsoever. Don't be so quick to criticize. - LetsGoBuffalo75
if you really didn't understand the blog despite the couple of typos or errors,, then i feel sorry for you. people just spend too much time here jumping on Garth instead of simply talking hockey... and i didn't criticize i simply asked for a rational |

They spend too much time on here criticizing Garth and you spend too much time on here defending him.
And Garth is happy to have all those hits to his blogs.
Yay. |

2 years at 3.6 per for CoHo.. Gags has proven more in his career. Both are young & talented, have room for growth. I project both as good 2nd line Centers. |

Gerbe < Max Afinovagina ??? - Pairo11
I understand that Max's final 2 seasons in Buffalo were quite disappointing... but people forget who he played alongside those 2 years in comparison to the previous 2 years when he averaged a point per game and got everyone excited about his potential. When he did well, he was playing on the 3rd line with Vanek and Roy... 3rd line, which does mean less ice time... it also means against players weaker defensively, as well. He did that with our current best player up front and Roy who served as our #1 center after Briere and Drury left town. So, while Roy and Vanek moved up the food chain... Max was left alone to play along with the type of 3rd line players we've seen in Buffalo ever since. That being players lacking offensive skill, but with PK contributions and defensive abilities.
I get tired of how Max gets singled out all the time... he seemed to do just fine when he played with Antropov and Kovalchuk in Atlanta his final season in the NHL. Hockey is a team game, obviously, but that explains why unless you're a HOFer it's awfully hard to be successful in the league on a line all by yourself.
Quite frankly, I think we saw some of the same issues with Ennis this past season... nothing of value being contributed by his linemates, so he goes about trying to do it himself (guy has skills)... but opponents sense that and key on the Sabre who actually poses a threat offensively knowing he can't do it alone. End result: disappointment. |

end to end rush just to skate around the net

Being so fancy with the puck he put his own linemates offsides
