I don't know about that. Ott has said he would have to change his game if he was named captain. No more licking visors lol |

if he resigns first, sure. but idk ive always been against it. captains need to have to be respected by the refs, not be a player like ott |

That could work against Vanek too. He's seems to take a few. Ehrhoff... Darcy will probably pull another Rivet and get some old timer to come in and slap the C on him. |

Hodgson is no leader let alone a number 1 Center, if Vanek is here he's the Captain. - SABRES 89
In Brampton, he was captain. He led a mediocre team, and carried it on his back. Also:
"Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis cited his leadership as a strong factor in drafting him. Hodgson finished the season with 43 goals and 92 points in 53 games, fourth in league scoring.[37] The annual OHL coaches poll distinguished Hodgson as the smartest player (for the second consecutive season), the hardest worker, the best on faceoffs and the best penalty killer.[38] In addition to OHL First All-Star Team honours,[39] he was awarded both the William Hanley Trophy as the league's most sportsmanlike player and the Red Tilson Trophy as OHL player of the year.[40][41] The media voted Hodgson ahead of forward John Tavares and goaltender Mike Murphy for the Tilson award.[41] He was then distinguished over fellow major junior league MVP's Brett Sonne of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and Nicola Riopel of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as the CHL Player of the Year.[42]".
Straight from Wikipedia. If that doesn't sound like the description of a leader, nothing does.
He's been a leader throughout his entire career. I don't think he'd be capable of being a captain next season, but saying he's no leader is just wrong. |

BTW, it's nice to see Kevin "overtaking" GARTH, at least for the moment. I expect a meltdown in the coming days. |

A leader in the OHL is a hell of alot different then being a leader in the NHL, no way would I put the C on him. |

For next year, I agree.
He's played 68 games with us. It's impossible to say he isn't at all a leader. It's also pretty difficult to show leadership qualities when you're surrounded by a bunch of 30-year-old underachievers. Leadership qualities don't just disappear when you transition into the NHL.
I'll guarantee you that Hodgson will have a letter, at the very least, in the NHL. |

Its a shift in the culture here. We got Kevin because we asked for a new blogger because Garth would piss ppl off and we had to deal with the trolls. Now Kevin is finally learning how to play the game. Garth should be moved to general site blogger. |

He's beating Garth at his game. Besides, were on a hockey website, not a Jeopardy discussing board. Its Zach Kassian and John Scott discussion, not Isaac Asimov. |

People hate on Garth and he brings a lot of it on himself with his corny puns, plethora of misspellings, and player love fests, but at least I don't feel like I'm reading something a 6th grader wrote in study hall when I read his stuff. |

You think Kevin writes like that? Are you kidding? If anything, it's GARTH that sounds like a 6th grader. It must be his occasional videos of poopty jam bands that make people like his blogs
Kevin just writes professionally. In no way whatsoever does he blog like you think he does. |

You have low standards for what a professional blogger reads like. Read something Yost wrote and then compare Kevin's blogs. |

I do read Yost's blogs. He comes up with funny lines on occasion and says "poop" sometimes. Big deal. How you compare a neat, organized blog to a 6th grader's work is beyond me. You have the blogger situation here COMPLETELY reversed. I guess all Kev has to do is post some 240p quality Neal (frank)ing Diamond videos from 1914 in order to be liked here. |

Or maybe he could try using a word that has more than 2 syllables. His blogs are boring. What's the difference between posting a stupid music video or posting a stupid poll? I never said Garth's blogs were great. Even with all the stupid puns, misspellings, and fanboy love affairs for players I still prefer his writing over Kevin's. Different strokes. |

The polls are used reasonable. It's not crazy to ask for our opinions. I guess I just like neat, organized things more than over-the-top and goofy things.
I also guess that I prefer not losing brain cells from reading a blog. |

I was unaware I had to choose. Let me know which one you choose so I can pick the opposite. You're one of the most annoying posters on this entire site. |
