I get that..but in his scenario he still had Bozak on our center list...
So I would guess it would be Bolland and Liles....that would be funny.

Colorado is just going to have to accept that they aren't going to get much for a 6.5 million dollar, sub-50 point player.

The big spenders are kind of tapped out right now and the broke teams are, well... Still broke.

Yeah, but its unrealistic as hell. And I'm aware of that.
And I don't think Stastny will hit 6.5 again unless its in FA. If we resigned him when we got him via trade, it'd be cheaper.

But it wouldn't be a bad trade on all level. We'd upgrade at C. Thats a good thing.

Leafs are in a weird place right now - they aren't many easy roster spots to point to that they still need to fill (despite them not being a top tier team).

Top two lines are pretty much set at the wings.

For various reasons, the centres are pretty much set, unless somebody decides to hand us an upgrade. Lord knows I'm not a Bozak fan, but they just handed him a new deal, so I'm assuming he isn't going anywhere. Kadri goes nowhere. Bolland goes nowhere. McClement is darn good at what he does.

So you have bottom two line wingers that you can screw around with - but don't expect much impact there.

On d, we have too many guys. Obvious moves are to jettison Liles (not going to happen - nobody wants him) and to get a guy to play with Dion (can't happen unless we jettison Liles).

Goalies: long term, Reimer gets moved. But not until trade deadline at earliest, as his salary is low.

So unless you can engineer a trade where we take 4 B players and swap them for an A player (EA Sports - if it's in the game, it doesn't actually mean it is in the game), I think we are probably pretty set.

I was talking about Flo from the Progressive commercials at first and thought that was some obscure reference to a possible progressive commercial that airs in Canada and not in the US. Are there even progressive commercials in CA?

They might just hang on to him and let him walk at the end of the season, but you'd think a rebuilding team might want to get something for him.

They're in a really awkward spot with him. They really should trade him, and in a normal year they would be able to.

But any team with a spare 6.6 million bucks could just as easily go out and sign Grabo + Hainsey, which costs no assets and probably improves your team even more.

Right, that's what I said earlier.
IMO Bozak@ 4.2mill > Stastny @ 6.5mill - mostly because that extra 2.5mill cap number will be a very bad addition for the Leafs.
I also get that Stastny is only 1yr left but some bozo is going to give him a big payday because he is still fairly young and had a good season 4 to 5yrs ago....

Yes, we get US stations. OK, bear with me here, because this gets confusing:

If a US network and Canadian network are playing the same show, then we automatically get the Canadian network feed, even if we are watching the US network. Including the commercials that the Canadian network is airing.

But if it isn't on a Canadian network at the exact same time, we can watch US networks and commercials.

You think that's confusing?

I should talk to you about the Equalization Program amongst Canadian provinces.

Realistically, I wouldn't either. I'm just ready to ship out Bozak.

Agree and Disagree...
Leafs have a real shot at the playoffs, even with Bozak at 1C (for now)...but they won't be cup contenders with Bozak as their 1C.

So Mirtle and DGB think the 5 year deal is idiodic and a sign of more incompetence
