you also have Gunnarson who was a 7th, Frattin a 4th, nothing spectacular but solid players for late picks.

Yes he had Poni and maybe Antro for a bit. (Not high quality!)

Mogilny outscored him 1 year. But he was still past his prime.

He never had any top wingers to play with. Mogilny was about the best and he had 1 good year.

Yeah well Kadri is young and Biggs,Percy,Rielly and Gauthier haven't started their careers yet. We'll find out about them in a few years. I think Rielly is a lock, but in this day and age, a 5th overall pick should be a lock.

In terms of history of drafting and developing 1st round picks, which is what I think we were talking about, could be wrong though. Were (frank)ing terrible. Probably the worst in the league.

Luongo is unmovable. If he was he would be gone by now. Gillies figured that out and now hopefully is screwed because of it. They should have bought him out

Now its a much different league, Salary cap, young players rule the league.
Its not happened yet, but these 5 year plan scenarios tend to bring out the worst moves in GMs. Signing clarkson to a 7 year deal is bordering on that.

ok. 4 semi finals from 1992-2008. When the "rebuild" started
They werent the best and they weren't the worst. somewhere in the middle.

I also disagree that it doesnt mean poop. Some of the young players we now have are entering thier prime. My point is I want to keep that cycle going, not the move some younger players for vets to help win now, I dont think we are close enough to anything
