Guys.
Every move in the NHL, every single contract, every single player drafted was a good choice and decision?
Why? Because management, coaches and scouts know more than we do.
So never say a bad word about any player or move again.
Except when it comes to Gardiner. These rules dont apply to him.

Big picture guys leafs are better this year than last. At the end of the day you can dissect all the little stuff all you want. The team is getting better. Good young D core coming up. 2 good young goalies. Solid forwards that admittedly need some upgrades most notably at 1 C but there are no realistic options available to fix that right now. Cap will be going up and the leafs will have money next year and the year after to upgrade with UFAs if they find a fit. The peanut is moving in the right direction IMO - D.Lemieux
Great post. That was my point as well. No one is talking about next season. It's all about Clarkspn getting 7 years or Bozak getting 4.2 million per. The team is better. |

Kinda like what i did to you, and the world goes round. - Rysko81
Hm? Sorry, but you're trying to say Bozak is a good player.
Youre wrong. He has yet to break 50 points with 2 top line wingers AND apparently playing the most minutes out of any forward.
So yeah, reaching 60 points will be a miracle for a hack like Blowzak. |

When Gardiner makes the Leafs I'll say that the coach and GM think he can play. |

Kessel has great chemistry with AHL scrubs. He can play with anyone and look good.
Remember when everyone said he'd never score without Savard? - RogerRoeper
Your statement about AHL scrubs was laughably ridiculous. If AHL scrubs could easily become top 6 forwards, top 4 d-men & true #1 goalies at $450,000 per season, NHL gm's would be going crazy to sign em all. |

Pretty awesome as a matter fact..
Gardiner looks like he is going to be a hell of a hockey player!!
Burke did a pretty darn good job considering what he walked into. |

He was drafted and played for the Leafs.
Your opinion is invalid as you do not agree with scouts, coaches and GMs.

About managing hockey? He sure does. Doesn't change the fact he's not an NHL GM today bc things didn't work out in TO. Am I wrong? |

No it's not. You're trying the "Small Sample " to excuse Clowe's deal and make it look much better than Clarkson's. - RogerRoeper
Jesus Christ. You're using the small sample to make clowes look worse than clarksons. That's what this entire discussion was about. That's what led to the Toews crap on labeling players on those small periods.
Talking to you is a headache. If you want to use 48 games as just cause as to why clowes contract is guaranteed to be a disaster, and clarksons is gold.. Go right ahead.
The only point I was ever making, is that when you consider clowe is only a year older, has played roughly the same career games and produced 100 more points, has been far more consistent aside from last season, is signed cheaper with less term.. It at the very least opens up the possibility that by the end of their respective contracts, clowes may end up being less of a disaster than clarksons. I don't believe 48 games impacts that small possibility whatsoever.
That's it., only point. Quit spinning in circles. If you've got nothing productive to that, don't even bother. |

Doesnt change the fact he knows more than you.. Therefor, run along with your logic and agree with him about Gardiner.
Its your logic. Oh wait... it only applies to Blowzak. |

Chosen by Burkie to attend. Awesome. How'd that work out for Burkie in TO? - honesthockey
Huh? Are you suggesting that trading Beauchemin for Lupul and Gardiner was the reason Burke got fired?
I don't follow. You seem to imply that Burke liking Gardiner was his downfall in Toronto. I'm absolutely sure that isn't true. |

Was he an injury call up? Even in the playoffs he got in due to injury. Healthy scratch for game 1.

Missing my point I see. It's not about the players, it's about how you're comparing overall careers to how the players are in 2013'. - RogerRoeper
Clarkson > Clowe
Ask every GM that bid on Clarkson and they'll tell you the same thing: Clowe's Plan B. |

Dont know why you're arguing. Im using your logic. You have to like Gardiner because he was drafted and scouts and GMs know more than you.
Oh, and the Gomez contract in Montreal was great too. Because well... GMs know more than us.
Now you're realizing how dumb your logic actually is. And its hilarious how Im using it against you to make you look even dumber. |

I wont. Because if he does. It'll be a miracle. Hoping his value rises and we can get at least a 4th rounder for him. |
