We made the playoffs last season. Since the start of last season, everyone has turned into a bunch of whiny (frank)ing babies. |

Great hands in tight, defensively responsible, and very agile and smart with and without the puck, always finds a way to get open. - Rysko81
In what? Peewee hockey?
Lets not forget. Crappy offensively. Not that great of a shot. Always looks for pass first when he isnt that good at passing. Always loses the puck trying to pass to Phil in the worst situations. Isnt physical.

Leafs were nothing more then lucky last season

LOL what delusional Leaf hater came up with that? People who hate the Leafs have so much time on their hands for nonsense.
The funny thing is, it doesn't mention the Leafs starting goalie posting a save % of .924 and their backup, .915%.
The Leafs made the playoffs because they had their best goaltending by far in almost a decade. And that won't change with substituting Scriven for Bernier, who posted even better numbers.
But no, that useless chart just brings up useless stats for a lame argument. |

What are you talking about...you don't know poop!!
Bozak was the 2nd worst contract given out this summer right behind, you guessed it, Clarkson!!
Idiot Leafs bought out studly Grabs amazing 5.5mill contract and handed out a 4.2mill (which in my estimation is about 2mill too much) to the worst center in the NHL. |

Any suicides in here today. I mean a long term signing of the man who felt Bozak was way more important than Grabovski had to go didn't he? |

I'll nominate Weiss, as well, but Clowe was truly a disaster of a deal. |

He isn't crappy offensively thats the thing, he's just the only defensively responsible player on his line. Has shown many flashes of offensive brilliance in crucial moments for our club, and will take another step forward in that regard in the upcoming year, just like he did last year. Not to mention, he does not have a bad shot, he has a very quick release, its why his shooting percentage was 31st in the league last season. Yes he forces it to Kessel too much, but that much is very fixable. A little looser of a leash in terms of using his quick hands and agility WITH the puck rather than just without the puck and he'll easily be worth the 4.2 clip he signed for. PS: He IS better than Grabovski, and is the same age Grabovski was when he began to enter his prime. Bozak is just entering his, and no doubt in my mind he gets that much better in all facets he improved upon last season. It is the fans who only watch the puck and don't understand what players do without it, that don't understand how good Bozak really is. He's extremely elusive, fundamentally sound and responsible, and its why he plays such a crucial role and got paid what he did. |

3 goals all year. Holy poop. If the Leafs signed him to that deal we'd hear about it a lot more. |

What's the over/under on how many more times we'll debate the merits of Tyler Bozak before the season even starts?
With about 70 days to go, I'll set it at 40.
Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. He wasn't a great option, but he was the best of a bunch of less than stellar options.
If the top line continues to perform with him there, it's not the end of the world. If he gets bumped down by a better option, again, it's not a problem. |
