Yes, it has been messy, but at the end of the day the Canucks still have a excellent #1 Goalie that has a good cap hit as well as a very good prospect in Horvat. There are so many circumstances and events that got to this point and it has not been smooth by any means, but this is what the team has at this point.

Nobody's claiming the situation wasn't handled poorly, but there are other people at fault than just MG—like AV, the Aquilinis, and LuoUngo himself.

How the (frank) is he responsible for any of this? He was nothing but a class act throughout the process. Blaming him for any of this is ridiculous.

Again see my previous post....As far as the Bruins and Flames...it was done. they had to take it back off the table when Iggy refused.

The deal was not done. The paperwork was not filed. Iginla was not a Bruin. The framework was agreed upon, but it was reported as done, not reported on as agreed upon in principle. Sloppy work by a new analyst trying to make a name for himself.

Could also be a warning to Lack not to trust mamnagement(I doubt it is this), but if you analyze it it could be.

Has MG ever shown any humility in public and admitted he has made a real mess of the whole situation. Maybe he has , but I don't recall him ever standing in front of a mic and apologizing to the fans of the Canucks for the mess.

For sure there are a lot of twists and turns to the whole story , but it would be refreshing to see Gillis take responsibility as the HEAD of the Canucks Hockey Business. When something goes off the rails in any business it usually falls on the head of the CEO.
