I don't know that he did create this mess single handed...Luongo was out played, that was nothing to do with Gillis, the problem with Gillis is he has verbal diarrhea and can't control himself when it comes to making boneheaded comments...but then again, i dont fully blame him for making those kind of comments with how the media treats people here...all i know is, having torts here with this media? its going to be one hell of a year

I wouldn't announce I'm trying to trade X to the world and demonstrate desperation and then still hope to gather a top 10 pick or equivalent value before settling to trade player Y, who is better.

Late bloomer? he was only drafted 5 years ago 8th overall...he's 5 years younger than I am...he's only gotten to play 20 NHL games...he's hardly had a chance to show off any talent what so ever...

We can debate who is better between Schneider and Lu... But I'm pretty sure Lu's comments after the series against LA about it being Cory's team and that it might be time to move on didn't exactly put Gillis in a good situation.
