I think Darcy will finally resign Cody and then his summer is over no more moves. The trade market usually goes quiet once we head into August.

After all the BS seasons we have had since our nice run to 2 ECFs, we have been sucking so bad, and, now, Darcy is telling us and the players that suffering is next!!
If I were Vanek, I would want out as well.
Obviously, Vanek has no confidence in Darcy building a team that can contend for the cup, and frankly, I don't either!

The 1st one might have to happen for the other to come to fruition.

However, for the sake of the Sabres organization, I just hope we can add a couple more pieces to this rebuilding puzzle.....and THEN Darcy gets fired.

No way he walks, that won't happen. Darcy should ask alot for Miller and Vanek if he moves either one.

I enjoy being in the minority us fans that dont put Vanek on the pedastal. Has the ability to truly be a great player, but he has a poor work ethic and a lousy attitude. His half-season performances are the reason we're rebuilding. Its laughable that there are people who actually want him to be our captain.

I don't think he's got a lousy attitude, but by the same token I agree he's kinda passive/lethargic and looks like he's totally worn out. Still my favourite player though and I think we can all agree thst we'd like a gear return for him in any trade.

It's not like Foligno was horrendous or anything, he did dial it back a bit with the aggressiveness but that's okay.
Also I think Girgensons is a bit faster, better hands (more of a shot at being a top six forward).

I'm saying it from all the chatter from last season. Alot of people see a guy for 18 games and they determine the role of that player. I love the fact we have 2 young guys with such a physical element in their game, but I have to wait and see how that affects the scoreboard.

Me either. With the way the cap is designed, guys like Vanek and Miller don't have the trade value they once did. It's almost as if services rendered are more value than what a trade can bring, especially if that's the return. Thomas Vanek can make much more happen by himself than Moulson can.
