For those saying Ranger is in, Fraser is out. Do we even know if Fraser is ok?

- Boosinicka

yea, that's his sinus that's busted up... there isn't a hole there going into his brain, or anything like that.

You will get a better idea of what Fraser is asking for once he gives his salary request and the Leafs give their salary figure to the arbitrator.

His hearing is scheduled for July 30, still time to work out a deal.

Not even close to the same comparison

Exactly, and last year when Eakins bashed Kadri for having an unfavorable body fat %. He also would not shut up about how much Ranger was in the most amazing shape he ever saw. Basically said the guy had left the game for 2+ years and then walked into camp and put all the other guys to shame. Eakins is a fitness freak, so I have to believe he was speaking the truth.

solid for sure. but...
A) that is a ghastly 4th line. Leafs cannot roll 4 lines with that lineup.
B) where are the extra forwards?

My guess is he is asking for 1.2 - 1.5 and the Leafs are aiming for 900 - 1, so not a huge difference, and my guess is they reach a deal prior to the 30th

A) I agree, Carlyle tends to lean heavy on 3 lines however so could be ok.
B) As mentioned in the post above this, I forgot Colborne had signed a 1 way. So there's your extra forward assuming you can fit his 600k in there somewhere. I don't like it though. I believe he is a top 6 player, Having him play wing or on the 4th line isn't good for his development. Would much rather see him take the reigns of the Marlies as the 1C.

Meh - it didn't hurt them last year. The top 3 lines project to play about 55 minutes when you factor in special team play. RC can pick his spots with the 4th line and I'm sure he'll carry an extra fwd so Orr and McLaren won't both play every night.

I would assume it is used to bring the $ and/or term down while negotiating. Basically assure the player a little security in their personal/family life, for a bit of smaller pay cheque.

Wow, seems Nonis is pretty high on this guy. Nothing crippling though, I would be more concerned over a NMC.
