Sabres should offer sheet Kadri to a 4.5 mil deal. Leafs would have trouble matching and even if they do, you screw over a division rival and maybe make them dump their captain for cap room.

but darcy wouldnt want to tick off the other gms! then he'd have trouble when it came to moving his players who clearly need to be moved

wait a second...

Yeah, he just wants them to use their own stupidity and shoot themselves in the foot(Goose, Pommer, Regehr, Leo).

If they were really smart, they would do that, TO would panic and sign Kadri and then dump someone else. If Buffalo planned it well enough they could figure out who that someone else would be and scoop them up.

Franson is in a similar situation as Kadri, he could get big money from someone like Edmonton. They're actually the last team to successfully offer sheet someone with Penner, lol! Didn't work out as they'd hoped though...

What would be the compensation Buffalo would have to give Toronto for that deal?

I would not want to give up a draft pick this year.

Difference is we have the cap space to fit both Kadri and Hodgson and they don't (if what he's saying is true).
