I just talked to Keith Primeau. He can't remember playing for the Flyers.

i just talked to JR. he does remember picking corners but he doesnt remember 1967 or a team that can only win a title when the league has 6 members.

Are we still supposed to be keeping an eye on Carolina? I've been doing it since the damn trade deadline.

I hate how forwards dressed as defencemen like Subban, Letang, and Karlsson are getting Norris nods. Pay no attention to actual defense like Shea Weber, just look at offensive stats, great idea...

You always see noobs on discussion forums asking "why would they sign that defenseman; he only had 12 points last season?"

Part of the same analysis disease.

I think word's out about going to Philly -- unless you're just on the back nine of your career and looking to cash in *ahem Lecavalier ahem*

I'm sure he doesn't remember 1975 either.

Ever notice the longer the show goes on, the more excited his hair gets? LOL

They have to keep drawing in the ladies somehow...

I like the episode where they try to say that every talented person in history was really just benefiting from alien intervention. Einstein? Aliens. George Washington, Socrates, and Ghandi? Aliens were remote controlling them to secure ze win.

By that logic (and to answer a Q I missed while working for the man), Piet is clearly under extra-terrestrial control and therefore worth around 7.25-7.5 for 5 years on an offer sheet.

It's an absolute joke that teams do this with their "Best Player"... People rag on the Flyers for alot of things but you dont see this happening there! They get their key players signed and let the guy's they really dont want, walk
- twpguy

And then they trade them or buy them out within a few years.

What's that? He makes $2.875 for 2 years and then will likely sign an eight year $48 million contract when this was done at $6 million per season.

So take a look at 2 contracts and we're talking a 10 year $53.75 million deal or $5.375 per season. Most people thought he'd sign for $5.0 to $5.5 long term so it is right where he would have been anyway

- willey101

Pretty Unlikely he only signs a max contract of 6 million per. The fact that he won the Norris is gonna cost the habs big time. Runner up Kris Letang is gonna be a comparable and he is getting 7.25. no way Subban is gonna accept less than 7 after accepting a very cap friendly contract this time around. Usually players who take a bridge contract and then continue to improve get huge raises. If Bergevin wanted Subban for 5-6 mil a year, he should have skipped the bridge deal..too late for that now

really? ask that to all the former players who work for the organization, still live in the area and have ties to the team well after retirement. lolz.
- flyershockey

The Blues have the same thing going in St. Louis. Numerous former players retire in the area or remain in the organization. The Blues treat their players and alumni very well. Sit down.
