a much more similar scenario is;
eberle, Schultz and klefbom
and no. - hugefemale dog77
I'm really liking the potential (people will cling to that word) I'm seeing with our D...
Schultz, Petry, Klefbom, Nurse, Smid, Ference, Belov, Marincin, Musil, Gernat etc. |
|
|
|
Gardiner > Schultz (arguably)
Rielly > Klefbom (easy)
Eberle > Kadri (durrrr)
It is pretty even. Even though neither team would make that swap hahaha. - Steven_Dean
Umm in what world is Gardiner better than Schultz? |

Eberle shot out of his mind when in 11-12, evidently at an unsustainable rate. It should be noted that over the last 24 games of this season he did shoot at 16.7%, not too far off from his ridiculous 18.9%. So it's not like he was a 12% shooter the entire year. It'll be interesting to see what he does next year. - Morris
No poop and many forget that the drop this year was due to his (frank)ing hand being broken... Eberle if healthy snipes upthe league this year... book it...

1. The Nashville Predators offer Shea Weber to the Toronto Maple Leafs for.....
Doesn't matter, no
2. The Columbus Blue Jackets offer Ryan Johansen to the Phildelphia Flyers for Brayden Schenn and a 2nd round draft pick.
Hellllllll (frank)ing no
3. The Vancouver Canucks offer Ryan Kesler to the Washington Capitals for Marcus Johansson and Troy Brouwer
Entertain-able at least; still no

"If someone offered me the offensive brilliance that is Ovechkin vs, let's say, Jonathan Toews, I'd pick Toews, because he's the kind of guy who wins cups."
LOL. It helps having pretty much the perfect roster around you. Saying "Toews is a guy who wins cups" ignores that he plays with: Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Corey Crawford, et al. If OV was on CHI and Toews was on WSH, OV would have 2 cup rings. You might take Toews over Ovechkin, but not because "Toews wins Cups and OV doesn't." You'd take Toews because he's a two-way center with elite defensive and offensive skills. - isles10289
I agree to an extent with him. I'd take Toews over Ovey because his two way play and physicality is what wins cups for some teams |

Amazing how the best blogger on this site(Yost) is a huge fan of underlying numbers and bases a lot of what he does on stats, but it's crazy talk when someone brings them up. Ridiculous |

Somewhat, but some UFA`s that are still out there should be considered:
Morrow, Grabo, Cleary, Hainsey, Bryz, Gagne, Murray, Wellwood. - Byfuglien Ate Me
I'd like Cleary. Yost says Morrow was a 44% possession player this year. Murray can't skate. Hainsey isn't a fit with 6 LHD already. bryz sucks. gagne sucks. wellwood is too small, edm has enough 5'10 guys. grabo'd be good. |

I am crying for attention. Fancy stats are ludicrous unless Yost is using them. |

Wasn't Eberle playing with a broken hand, sprained groin, a fractured vertebrae, herpes, and mono though? |

yeah it's his "cheerfully bad suggestions" shtick. He wants people to agree with him so he can flip and make fun of how naive they are.

Exactly! If it weren't for the broken hand, sprained groin, a fractured vertebrae, herpes, and mono, he would have been shooting at 19-20% all year. |

IMO-I would invite Brule to a try out |
