6 more points in 3 more games. Earth shattering difference - TheNugeIsHuge
That's your only point... there was only a 5 point difference between Chris Kunitz and Steven Stamkos. By your logic they are closer than Ovi/Hall |

except Kunitz was playing on a line with the best player in the world. I could have had 40P |

^What he is trying to say (I think) is that Hall will probably put up better point totals. These are 2 different types of players, Ovie is an elite sniper, Hall is more of anall around offensive player. In my humble opinion I take Hall over Ovie because I feel Hall will be a more consistent player and doesnt have that KHL thing weighing in. Canadians grow up wanting the cup and I feel he has more cup drive then Ovie. I think Ovie cares more about personal milestones. Just my 2 cents - Oilfan19
Hall would consistently miss more games. Thats literally the only thing he has done consistently more than Ovi |

Crosby missed 25% of the season.
OK Mike Ribeiro outscored Toews, Giroux, Tavares. I guess Ribeiro is right there with those number 1 centers |

Ovie has those stretches where he gets mad about ice time or team performance and doesnt show up. This was shown at the start of this season many times. Hall was pretty steady all season. |

it's great that Ovi had a lot of points from 2005-2011. I'm saying if I want a player, it's so they can help me now and in the future. Not 5 years ago.
Hall and Ovi have produced at around the same clip the last 2 years. Hall's 6 years younger and signed to a much friendlier cap hit. So, no, Ovi's value cannot be "ways" ahead of hall's unless your head was surgically placed in your ass |

I wish there were more proposals like the OV one. Here's one for EDM/Pit.
Malkin + Fleury for RNH + Eberle + 2015 1st + Hemsky
Too many big names for me to judge how even, I just think that:for PIT:
1. Hemsky playing with crosby would be scary
2. RNH as the new #2 keeps the penguins younger, but still set for some time
3. Eberle knows how to play with with RNH already, so Pens top 2 lines are still set
for EDM:
1. Have an even better #1 C who is still locked up for forever.
2. 2 scary lines still, even after losing 2 stars
3. Hopefully Fleury can find his game again, or at least mentor Dubnyk - mfreedman

Ribeiro's PPG isn't better over the last 2 seasons. Also Toews' value comes a lot from his defensive play |

scoring 6 more points in 3 more games. Tavares was also a candidate. Hall had 3 more points in 3 less games than JT yet Hall had no MVP votes. Why? PWHA. Eastern as f***. Kadri was in selke voting |

And all of the aforementioned players were in the postseason, do you see a trend yet? Ovi takes his team to the playoffs, like an MVP does. Hall took the Oil to a worse record than the Sabres |

yes and stamkos took the lightning to a worse record than the calgary flames.
duchene, ROR, and landeskog took the avalanche to a worse record than the calgary flames
see a trend? one player doesn't bring a team to the playoffs. that's absolute horse sh*t |

Your being a homer. Which is understandable. Ovechkin is a hall of famer. He has 735 points already and isnt near 30 years old. He is the 2nd best player in the lasdt 15 years to step on the ice besides Crosby. It's really just that simple |

love how when I use stats people assume I don't watch games. Because using facts means knowing nothing on the subject. let me try it for homer over here.

I'd argue that Stamkos and Malkin are better. Not because I'm a homer, because it is the truth.
You've turned from an argument to being ignorant. But you're a BUF fan. So it's understandable. |
