Half a season.
- ThePresident

Dion had 20, Fraser had 15.

19 minors in 48 games is less than 1 every other game, for a guy who plays a VERY physical game.

that is not in any way a lot of penalties.

Neither is 29 in 80 games the year before, or 18 in 82 the year before that, considering his style of play.

They are going to get really tough matchups and almost exclusively d-zone starts. gonna be tough to generate much offense.

Yet many Leafs fans will bemoan their lack of offensive production, much like Grabovski last season.

Don't we need 22 or 23 players on the roster, though? So we could down Brennan, Smith, and Holzer, but that just leaves us with the 20 on the starting lineup.

Between him, Orr, Phaneuf, Fraser, and McLaren, we're going to be spending alot of time on the PK.

well, at least these aren't offensive guys.

I was a big Grabo defender, but he was still getting #2 PP unit. None of them will be

Not really. those 3 played every game last year, Leafs led the league in PIMS' but were 14th for times short-handed.

They take a lot of Majors, not really that many minors.

price is an issue... they cant take salary, and he wants a raise
- Big_Lightnin

Well if Everything went well according to my calculations provided we could dump lilies and resign our current rfa's for the prices I estimate they'll get we'd have an extra 1.4 m. That would be a riase and if he signed a 1 yr at 1.3 or w/e he could get more next year if he proves his worth. LA has no cap space left so he'll be traded somewhere.

Ok, so we just added to that number by acquiring Clarkson, guess we have a stranglehold for 1st place in penalty minutes next year. Majors or Minors, they're penalty minutes.

yes, but orr in the box for 5 minutes, or mclaren in the box for 5 minutes doesn't hurt the team if we're not shorthanded

big difference between minors and majors actually

likely plenty of suitors, and Leafs are low on pick next year. Don't want to give them a 1st.

Perhaps Blacker and the late pick we get for Lilies gets it done?

1:33 per game actually, pretty much same as Kadri. He centered the #2 PP pretty much all year.

So? Is it not a good thing to be able to lead the league in PIMs but still be middle of the pack in time shorthanded? I fail to see how more of this would be a bad thing. This is going to be one very tough and intimidating team.
