Good ol' Gillis. I've never seem a GM spin so much poop. The meeting was going so well, and Luongo was so understanding that Gillis has to fly back again later this week to have further talks. Apparently Luongo hasn't even decided yet whether he's even reporting to the Canucks. What a mess he created, and its absolutely nobody's fault but his own...not even Luongo's.

So, in your opinion, this is the year he doesn't take another step forward in points even though the previous 4 he did get better - year by year?

how he hasn't been fired over this should be frightening for Canucks fans. but it's unprofessional of Luongo to threaten not to show up. that would be in violation of his contract, whereas nothing the Canucks did was close to that.

all that said, Tortorella and Luongo? might not be a good fit. Gillis could be the first GM to walk the plank this year if the Canucks get off to a mediocre start.

It was supposed to be dry all week here, according to the weather channel. So, I started a new house project. I am moving a patio door and Man door around. I removed the door and had it studded back in on Monday night, I had to be in Moncton early, so I put Tyvek over the hole and it has been raining since..

haha, sorry...not done yet ...but Ive made a lot of progress over the last two days and expect to have it done by the weekend. Its too bad I have this full time job, wife, sport commitments etc that keep getting in the way!!
