I wasn't too happy about that rat Marchand being invited to Team Canada, nor did I understand Laad and Hamonic. Hopefully they just get cut. Either way should be another great gold medal game between Canada and the USA after the Russians choke on a bottle of homemade vodka.

I think that Ladd his a hell of a leader and a good team mate his numbers might not be as good as some of the other guys but he adds a willingness to play hard every shift and if anything he is there to push the other guys harder because he wont come into camp and slack off.

Marchand does have decent production and from what I remember is a very strong puck possession player. The thing with him will be if he can tone it down a bit and not take stupid penalties if he can draw penalties without taking them then he becomes a very use full player for Canada as I imagine they will have a pretty stellar PP

I don't think he's a lock either. The Sabres aren't in 'win now' mode, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Sabres want Pysyk and Risto skating 25 minutes a night as a first pairing in Ra-cha-cha. Except they're both righties. Hrm. Let me rethink this. Pysyk and McNabb? Maybe Pysky and Weber in Buffalo, and Risto and McNabb in Roch? This has to be the most uncertain Sabres roster that I can remember.

if they dont want to win now then why would he not get 25 minutes in the NHL. That doesn't really fly. Give Pysyk 20 minutes a game and see what he can do.

I can agree with this.. but Sulzer is a vetran and has flashes of being pretty good.. I would like Pysyk to play everyday in Rocha and then have him come here when we need him. Our young defenseman depth is incredible.. so the next few years we are going to see a cycle of starting defenceman.

His productin isn't half of what it should be considering he doesn't have a whole lot else going for him. He's a small puck possession scorer that takes dumb penalties. He doesn't score enough to deserve an invite, and doesn't have any other intangibles to make up for his average production.

Cody had as many points in this past season and I don't think anyone is arguing Cody shoulda been incited.

How's it a waste? He was impressive at camp but that's a small sample. He's still a few years away from being an NHL regular. They will take their time with him as anyone should with young defensemen.

am I the only person that wouldn't mind that? We have NO 1RW scoring depth.. he has the high salary but honestly Cammy was ALOT ALOT better with talent around him in Montreal and LA.

I am not saying I think he should or even can make the team but why be mad he got an invite ? If anything he will be there to make the other guys work harder for their spots.I would take Benn over Marchand every day but we don't have that option now. Every team invited some very questionable players like why the hell would Sweden invite Tallinder?

Even still I'd have him go back to juniors and finish his eligibility there and once he's done, make him a permanent fixture in Buffalo. Don't want him getting sent up and down every 2 months. St. Louis was willing to wait with Pietrangelo, we should be exercising the same patience.
