Can't believe I forgot Pronger, duh!!
I didn't count Pelle, because, IMO, he died from stupidity, not injury. Also I didn't mention Howe only because between the WHA and NHL he played 20 seasons or so and was nearly 40 when he retired, so I can't really agree that his career was cut short, rather, I would say his effectiveness was reduced instead.

I was born in 1987, so I don't remember seeing him play a game for the Flyers. I just go off of what I read. His stats are ridiculous though. finished his career as a +400

Bill, you changed your stance and began to assign some blame to him as it became clear that he was going to be bought out but you defended him pretty strongly through the whole season. In fact, I don't think you ever even agreed that he should be bought when he had to be just because of the length of the contract, the injury clause that would have possibly stopped it had he been brought back and the possible recapture penalty. Either way I wouldn't be congratulating myself on how fair and balanced I was this year after seeing how bad he was in the Pens series because it was pretty evident he was atrocious last year so there was nothing to be fair and balanced about. If you couldn't see he was horrible then I don't know what to tell you.

maybe the drive to push for the CBO w/ him & his agents statements accomplished one goal while ruining the other one of finding work.

I think it would be best for you to air your grievances on WIP. You may find that audience more to your liking.

This guy is a microcosm city's beat writing. You just know he's watching Daily News Live every day (or whatever it's called now) and reading the Daily News for "Pannacio's (or Seravelli's) Latest"!

I was in favor of Versteeg and Bryz, but i'll admit that I didn't know much about Bryz before the team acquired him. I was just happy they found a long term, skilled solution in goal after that whole playoff debacle.

The key is to take every side, then you are never wrong. If I was ever wrong, it's because my account was hacked.

For Versteeg? The only rumor longer than Versteeg to the Flyers was Schenn for JVR. The Flyers and Leafs sure love foreplay.
