honestly... Ashton would be my bet, but I'd see him as a 4th liner/ 7th forward. Though he and D'Amigo could split time.

kind of moot - Leafs absolutely do not have the cap space for that kind of deal. They HAVE to sign him to a low money bridge deal, or they will lose Franson.

Orr and Frazer are good at cycling the puck down low though and Colborne has been playing in a cycle league for the past few years so he would be very comfortable starting with that.

that's why I think he'll be playing with Ashton and one of McLaren and Orr.

McCLement's arguably Leafs best defensive forward - he's more wasted on the 4th line. Colborne's not going to play top 6, and the 3rd line is going to be a proper shutdown line.

anybody concerned they haven't signed yet needs to calm down. They have no intention of signing either player until after arbitration or Fraser and Gunnar.

Moving Liles doesn't help much if Kadri is making $5M per as Esplan is suggesting. Only way they can move Liles this summer without taking salary back is by retaining part of his salary, probably $1.5M.

ya I figure it's $3.5M for 3 or 4 years. $4M isn't there yet. But then he might want to sign a 2 yr deal so he's UFA after. 3 or 4 yrs means buying UFA years, so price goes up.

Yeah but he's 25 and is ready for his in-his prime deal. Look at the payscale for all the d-men that finished around him on the scoring list.

It's reasonable for him to at least be requesting what Shattenkirk got.
