Shocker. 2 on, 2 out and Rasmus strikes out. - Scooby_Doo
Dont even get me started about this team. I was asking myself why I was still watching the game at 10-4. Im hopelessly inlove with an underachieving awful baseball team. I wish I was old enough to at least remember there back to back world series, Unfortunatley I was 5. |

Actually, I think the tougher division might do the opposite, more competition might make the team play harder against divisional foes instead of coasting. Having SJ and LA who are (or have become) playoff rivals might light a fire under the team as playing 6 games against Calgary, Minnesota, Edmonton and Colorado never did. - DariusKnight
Lets hope so. The nucks have just B!tched slapped the NW division the last 3 - 4 years. and with the new divisions there will be some regression. I dont expect a lot of regression but there will be. The nucks over the last 3 years are 47 - 15 - 4 within their own division.
Vs the Kings, Ducks and sharks over the last 3 years I am not sure of the record but I can assure you their winning pct isnt that high. So a regression is only natural.

Love the Lu talk. I thought we had enough of this for the last 3 yrs. Lu should have been traded he didnt. I think MG is a fool. Never been a fan of his. I hope he gets canned after another 1st round exit. - Bluechip23
So you're cheering against the team because you don't like the GM? Sweet. |

No offence man, But its hard to cheer for MG. The Canucks themselves I can cheer for, But everytime they underachieve I will always think of MG's shortcomings and bad trades.
The guy is one wrong move away from hittin the happy trail. |

WHen did I ever say I was cheering against the team. Wanting your team to win and thinking they arent winning the cup dont go hand in hand. I cheer for the Bills. I always have and always will. Doesnt mean I think they will make the playoffs.

The canucks over the last 3 years are 20 - 27 vs the kings, sharks and ducks. This includes the playoffs as well. Gone are the days of the 0.740 winning pct vs the division. |

So you take out the 1-4 and 0-4 series and they are .500? How many OT loser points do we get for playoff OT loses? |

They won back to back President's Trophies and came 1 game away from winning the Cup. Gillis has done something right. It's not possible for every move to pan out. |

I don't know.
If I'm Kadri, I look at the money they just shelled out to Bozak, Clarkson, etc... and I want something close because I'm likely better than either of them.
I think they will be looking at something in the 4 million range for two years at least. Franson made what, 3 million last years. I'm guessing he'll want to be in the 4 million range as well. Gunner is a 3 million ish guy in my books.
IMO, it is going to be pretty tough to fit just those three into that 9.7 million they have left. - IanEsplen
You need to learn the difference between RFA and UFA. I'll give you a hint...leverage.
Also...Franson made 1.2M last year. |

But if you take out our losses then you have to take out the 4 - 1 win we had vs the sharks as well in 2011. |

That core of players was handed to him by nonis and Burke. Yes he did some great things resigning the star players but is that gillis or gillman? Also I have stated this before. Its one of the best organizations to play for. everything from training, nutrition etc is world class. Plus its also Vancouver probably the best city in North America to live in. If this team is in Edmonton/Winnipeg do the same guys resign with the team at that price. My guess is no way. |

We won president trophies because of the weak division.
SCF were three seasons ago.
We are beginning to sound like Leaf fans with all those ancient memories.
He is a good stat, 1 win in the last 10 playoff games. |

Well the Hodgson trade was strike one. The Schneider trade was strike two. Im just waiting for strike three.
And dont get me wrong, Im fine with Schneider being moved but look at what Anaheim got for Ryan...... I cant believe we didnt get a roster player in that trade. Absolutely unbelievable. |

Time to transition into a new group of secondary players, I still believe that the Sedins are very good players. That said, Gillis has failed to put together a second line for the better part of two years now. That's why I say we need some younger second line players.
Tort's will get more out of this group IMO. |

We don't know that, it's impossible to compare Vancouver with a small market team like Edmonton/Winnipeg because there's so many variables as to why a players signs with a team for X amount of dollars whether being under market value or market value or overpaid. Players don't look at cities and go, oh, it's Edmonton/Winnipeg, I'm not playing there, things like players there already, coaches, management, style of play and general trends as well as things that we'll never know about like family wants/need also play into that. To say that Player X on the Canucks wouldn't sign in Edmonton for the same money if the team was there is like comparing apples to pinapples.

All im stating is that they were winning their division games at a 75% clip. That will change. They did win a ton of games outside their division but it was more at a 56% clip. They were

2011: 18 - 18
2010: 25 -15

All i know is I have a great job and make good money. You would have to double my salary to move to edmonton and triple it to move to Winnipeg. To think that players dont look at the city and how the organization treats them with they are resigning is ridiculous. Of course no one knows for sure. But I know I moved here when I was 18 and I have lived in Edmonton and Calgary for about 4 years each. I am so glad I am back here. I left good jobs to move back here and I took a pay cut to live in this city as did my wife. |

Ah man, are we gonna play this retarded game again? They still had to win the games against their own division.....why don't you show the records of teams outside the division against the Canucks division. I'd be willing to bet that the majority did not post a 75% winning pct against the Northwest... |
