I'll be getting it. I actually just got a PS3 and have been playing the NHL 13 game a lot. I am starting to get decent. I play with the NHL 94 controls because I didn't like the buttons they default the game with.

Yeah, I've always played using the classic controls setting. Allows you to still use the skill stick control but just situates the buttons more traditionally with the thumb rather than the triggers.

If you haven't yet, you should get into playing EASHL. Completely different dimension to video game hockey when you are controlling your own player with 11 other guys on the ice. It really gives a much more "real" hockey experience with responsibility in positioning, winning battles, setting up team mates, finishing your own plays. When you get real good, you can signup with a club and then start trying to win playoff cups. So addicting!

Side note: Anyone getting NHL 14 for PS3? Game looks sweet and includes the SEGA NHL 94 game, but with updated graphics. The fighting engine is upgraded too:

Game looks sweet.

Without doubt. Best hockey game hands down. I just hope 14 expands on the skating engine a little. The only 2 complaints I have about the game is:

1. Skating engine is very realistic with what you can do, especially when you've mastered the "skate backward" button help you pivot and spin to face the play. But I haaaaate how slow the players move, not in skating speed, but in body motions. Stick handling, body turning, all of those things should be sped up A LOT. Skating speed and movement is spot on realistic, but you should be able to do things with your arms and stick and torso MUCH faster than the game allows.

2. The hidden momentum factor. EA will always deny this, but there is most definitely some sort of hidden momentum. The home team always starts off with faster control response because of it. But the momentum swings during the game just like in real hockey, except its fake random momentum. You'll be playing and all of sudden, your player will start missing easy passes, ignoring the puck, theres a 1 sec delay to when you press a button or direction to when the player actually does it, and before you know it (you can almost predict it), your goalie does something ridiculous like comes 5 feet out of the crease on a routine save and gives up an easy goal. Its like clockwork. You feel it in the controls and its like, "Yup, here comes a goal, just shoot it, it'll go in..." There should really be no reason why the game gives momentum to one side or another. Momentum is something created by the players themselves. If you are dominating the other team, the players on the other side will get agitated, they will get impatient, they will start making mistakes. THAT should be how the momentum naturally works. Not this game handcuffing control disadvantage that forces the momentum swing against you. Thats just annoying and makes you wanna stop playing.

Supposedly MSG told to move its current location in 10 years according to SNY. The city wants to make updates to Penn Station.

If I'm James Dolan 10 yrs from now I'm up in my office in the garden with my armed security team saying come and get me. I just spent a billion up in this b!tch

Although depending on who the next mayor is, some under the table cash from Dolan could change those plans I'm sure.

There may be an option to turn it (momentum) off. There is, or at least was in the older Madden football games, but it was called Maddenisms. Basically a fancy word for catch-up AI. I dispise catch-up AI. All it consists of is allowing the computer to cheat.
