You are really high on Gags dude. But he is a lot of the problem in Edmonton. Generally speaking, you run with either a big first line center and small 2nd line center or a small first line center and big 2nd line center...Nuge is the bonafide top dog. Never will change, and because of that, Gagner will never fit. And I never said take Stastny, I think Edm should get Berglund. 6ft 3 swede with some skill. Sounds great with Yakupov - Suckitcrosby
Don't need to have a big centre and a small centre as long as they have a high compete level and are skilled they will be alright |

Agreed. Stastny's worst season playing 65+ games is better than Gagners best season playing any amount of games. - Babalu88
I like how u framed that...
so durability and health isn't worth anything?
ive been listening to the haters trashing hemkys value for ages for this very reason.
even though he's been healthy for the for the better part of 2 seasons
guess it only works and isn't a big deal when its the OTHER player being compared TO the oiler........
this game is a what have u done for me lately type. and last year gags was better |

If we're going to trade within the division I'd rather look at procuring Ryan Kesler from Vancouver. The asking price would be high but it would be worth it. - Dangles13
like a package we couldn't afford really |

Ok. Need some NHL geeks for this. Can they trade Gagner now that he has files for arbitration? I thought that you couldn't trade a player one they filed but maybe that has changed in the new CBA?

Only generally though, Detroit seems to do ok without big centers. Big centeres are actually a rare commodity in the NHL and there isn't enough to go around. |

Detroit is also the best run team in the league. And we are also comparing Datsyuk and Zetterberg to Nuge and Gagner. Nuge is a number 1, Gagner is not really in the same class. I'd be happier to see the oilers go into the season with Nuge and Grabo then Nuge and Gagner

Very true but you don't want your guys gettin demolished. Joe Thornton and Malkin and even Eric Staal has done rather well against them because it takes quite signifcantly more force to get them of the puck |

Grabo does "tower" above Gags, Grabo is 5'11 and 180lbs, whereas Gags is 5'11 and 200lbs. |

I am fully aware of that, I said it as Grabo would cost you frack all and is a heart and soul player and that you'd be using Gags as a trading chip to get something of use. Instead of signing that little poop stain Gagner to a deal, lamenting his contract and getting nothing useful for him |

Gagner has more heart than most. That is one thing that makes up for most of his "short"comings |

You're one to talk. You are the one saying Stastny is not as good as Gags-on-Richard |

Well being a Leafs fan you would know all about poop stains, Grabovski is clearly a good team guy. Fights with the Kostitsyn brothers at the Olympics while "proudly" representing his country. Throws his coach under the bus in a none too gentle fashion. This is the kind of guy I would want in a locker room full of young and impressionable players. |
