I think trading gagner is the best idea. He's not going to fit in with the speed of this team. I have doubts that he can keep up with perron and his RW. speaking of RW's i have a suggestion for lines for next year. I"m not against moving hall to C but for the heck of it i'm going to suggest the oilers trade gagner plus for stastny. He's caught in a numbers game in colrado and could be had for a reasonable price. Say gagner and n shultz for him. Though admitly trading gagner to colrado really doesn't solve the aves problem they've got great depth at C and likely don't need gagner they'll trade him later too. but i can't think of any other names right now so he's who i'll use

I think hemsky will be an oiler to at least start the year and i don't have problem with that nore with playing him and smyth on the third line and trying to roll three scoring lines though i have doubts about how well it would work. Now the reason i have eberle on the second line rw is because i'd like to see hall and yakupov play on the same line that and a line of first overall picks should kcik a$$ I beleive stastny would fit right in on that second line, he's a passer, with great hands and good speed, he'd keep up with perron and eberle no problem. That and he could easly put up 70+ points playing on a line with much better wingers then the aves have him playing with.

Either way this is ending this morning and thats a good thing. If he gets one year he'll be gone next summer if he gets traded he's gone tomorrow if he gets long term then he's here long term but it'll be one of those three.

If we're going to trade within the division I'd rather look at procuring Ryan Kesler from Vancouver. The asking price would be high but it would be worth it.

It's listed as being in the AM.

I still think Stastny can put up 60-70 pts with more ice time. Duchesne took his first line minutes last season. Gags for Stastny straight up makes sense. Avs compensatino is dumping about 1 mil. in cap space.

Grabo does "tower" above Gags, Grabo is 5'11 and 180lbs, whereas Gags is 5'11 and 200lbs.

Problem with Grabo is he is apparently asking for similar money as Gags, makes no sense. Rather give Gags that money than Grabo. Don't think either is worth that kind of money; I'd say Gags is worth 4.25 at best and Grabo is is worth something south of that.

It's not his fault, the majority of Oilers fans caught a bit of the stupid from Cloutier since he started blogging. It's a plague really. Cloutiers dumb talk and absence of any hockey knowledge at all is rubbing off on the fans and they actually believe their garbage players are better than everyone in the league.

Although there are some good posters here, most Oilers fans here are dumb as a post.
