Agree 100%.
He's often in the middle of scrums and I distinctly remember a hit he laid on Daniel Alfredsson in the 10' playoffs.

He laid a hit in the playoffs two years ago? What a monster.

I never said Crosby wasn't physical. Also, what the (frank) does Backstrom have to do with anything?

I just found it amusing that because he had 1 hit in 1 game two years ago, that is supposed to be fodder for why he isn't shy from physical play. ..I think just watching him play, it's pretty clear that he isn't afraid to go into dirty areas of the ice, 1 hit on Alfreddsson two years ago, aside.

fair enough. sometimes people need that one big hit or highlight to realize things.

i feel like numbers wise at least hes going to be back in a big way, picking up right where he left off last year. i think he pushes 50 this year. whether he or his team does anything with it, who knows

Going to try this on for size, so bear with me:

I'm looking forward to the Pens competing for the Metropolitan Division Crown next season.

Yeah, that's as lame as I thought it would sound. Who comes up with this stuff?

That's what people said in 2010 and at this year's WJC. Pretty much what people say at every international competition.

With a league with as much history as the NHL, you would think they could come up with something better than the relative geological locations for the conference names. Are the powers that be even trying anymore.

That Canadians always dominate. Just like when the Canadians dominated the Soviet Union in 1972.
