This 90+ degree heat for the past 10 days has been so miserable..... damn you myers!!

In all honesty though I love what the Sabers have done with their D, Ristol, Meyers, Zarkov, Erhoff is going to be amazing. Its just scary to think about.

I just think the offense needs a makeover, too small. I know your team has a lot of prospects and I'd say about 1/3 of them will pan out in some way shape or form but it should be a pretty exciting few years.

5 years from now I could totally see an Avs vs Buffalo Cup final. God would that be amazing. Always my favorite games.

We also have weber as our 5th dman and he was maybe our best dman last season for most parts...

We have mcbain now too who should be real solid if he doesn't continue to play like he did last year and instead like the years prior

Between top prospects like mccabe, psysyk, mcnabb, and ruhwedel... our 6/7 should be pretty damn awesome in a year or two as well

So does this make O'reilly expendable in the near future? Cause you can't be paying a guy 5 million a year to play your third line.

As good as neal is avs need D not more offense, niskanen is average but nothing with trading for and Orpik is too old.

7.25m per year for 8 years will be a bargain? Are you serious clark?

If my memory serves me right... weber make about 8m per year... Chara makes just less than 7m... karlsson makes 6.5m per year... doughty makes 7m.. subban is about to be making close 6.5m.. suter makes close to 7.5m... keith and seabrooke make about 5.5m I think... piets is gonna make about 6m.. idk.. I'd take all of them over letang.. idk who else needs a big contract on defense but letangs will be up there for awhile..

Campbell makes 7.1m and id take letang over him...

Vanek is an absolute sniping killer... he with malkin and crosb is... just wow... vanek has never had an allstar teammate and still has very good stats.. 3rd in his draft class which is considered the best draft depth ever.. vanek is what u thought u would get in iginla and hossa.

We can only hope our rebuild goes fast, but with Darcy's one move a summer style...expect a series in 2022

Its hard to say as I haven't found someone yet who can explain exactly how this whole contract and QO thing is going to go. He is a Bergeron type of player. RoR will win a cup one day no doubt in my mind, but if he is going to keep demanding crazy contracts then I think the Avs would be best to trade him for a young Dman to build the team around. I think stastny could go either way. But if we can get RoR for between 4-5 mil then a Duchene - Mac - Ror down the middle would be INSANE.

I have no idea what will happen though.

If players are going to leave their teams at the.end of their contracts, & the gm knows, how come there isnt much sign & trades in the nhl. It would make perfect sense. A resigned vanek would fetch a ton if he waz reupped. Miller too.Is there some type ofclause that does not allow teams to do that? Good way to do it. I actually would like to keep vanek, but if wants out think hell b a stand up guy & sign n trade? 7 years 7 per. Bit overpaid but not crazy. Right up there with parise. & i think vanek is the better player. Wht ya guys think about sign n trade?
