Just because teams picked for their needs does not mean that Grigorenko does not have 1st line talent. Yakupov is better than Grigorenko, no doubt, but Grigo was right there with him for most of the year.

yeah who knows. time will tell. im just not a fan of player projections. no doubt that grigorenko could be an awesome player as evidence by how well he dominated in the juniors.

The only forwards picked ahead of Grigo were Galchenyuk and Forsberg. That would make him the no. 4 forward in the draft, def. 1st line talent. I bet that the Blues regret taking EJ over Toews.

I don't really like him all that much as a player,
But even if I did...
He's UFA after this season
It's hard to imagine he'd want to extend here when he could choose a better situation as a free agent

Trading Vanek and Miller should be for guys that will still be RFAs at the end of their current deals... That fits much better into out rebuild
And I'd like a 2015 1st for each also
That way we have ammo to trade up for Mcdavid if need be
