Not ready for the NHL offensively IMO, would be a mistake to put him in if they ever want him to be more then a bottom 6 guy.

I could see them doing better next year or until their D improves, however it will be easier for the Avs to put together a solid Defense than it will be for Buffalo to come close to the firepower on offense the Avs have. Also its tough to predict how things will turn out with the Avs new coach and the new Divisions.

Highly disagree with your comparison based on looking on his past stats, and from what I've read about him on most sites, admittedly haven't seen him myself much tho. His stats and body make me think more Martin Hanzal type guy. I'd say if he turns into that type of player it's a success, if not I guess you may be left with Dave Steckel.

I would take Stastny in Buffalo, I think he needs a change of scenery. I think there is more to what Stastny's dad said a year or so ago.

He was captain of the USA team in this past world tourney and led the team in points.

Girgensons has all the tools regarding leadership and work ethic, it is just a matter if he can translate that to the NHL level and put up some numbers. He was the best player for the Amerks in the playoffs, that brings a glimmer of hope there.

EJ is still a top 2 dman, at worst he is an AMAZING 3. Hejda is a solid top 4 and as good as I think the Buffalo defense could be in the future, right now it is still below average and it will be quite some time before many of your prospects will be able to make a difference.

The only Weber that is a top 2 is Shea, not mike.
