I like that part, but it would do nothing for our rebuild. I'd rather have longevity in success if I means I have to wait (rebuild) over something like making the finals next year and stalling the rebuild.

I just feel that it could harm us in the long-run to try and be a contender this year. I'd love to get into the playoffs, but I'm looking toward the future.

And do you remember hopes of the Nichushkin - Grigs - Kuznetsov line?
Because we actually could have had it if we drafted Kuznetsov over Pysyk and Nich over Ristolainen (I don't know if we should have drafted Nich but right now I'd much rather have Kuznetsov than Pysyk).

Could you really stand waiting 3 years ? Last of the core is Miller and Vanek. They will (could) be gone by the end of next season. Young kids playing their hearts out could do wonders on the score sheet.
