He won't make the opening day roster, the team is bad but not enough to call up a guy who is that young and behind other forwards with more experience/deserve it more (Tropp, Flynn, Grigorenko, Foligno...perhaps even Armia).

Armia has little experinece playing the NA style game and system. Larsson has that over him. He may be ahead of him at this point.

A team does not have to be "UNstacked" for a prospect to play in the NHL.


Stacked or not a 99% of the time a prospect plays in the NHL when he is ready...nothing to do with "stacked"

You imply an "unstacked" team lets its non nhl ready prospects play anyways.

I meant by stacked that Larsson will outplay many of the past year's bottom 6 players, and should earn his spot because the competition will be less intense then on a team competing for the cup let's say.

If he was that great of a player the other guy would be expandable.....getting it yet? that is the 1% that an injuries.
Same as McNabb.....He is good enough to be in the NHL? Probably, is he ready? Maybe, can he be depended on? Possibly....could it ruin him if it is too early? hmmmmmm
(yes he was a bad boy but if he was truly ready he would of done much better in the A).

Larsson is not playing 82 games....someone needs to be there....my guess he gets 30 or 40 but even that might be too much.

Larsson was set to play for Minnesota right before he got traded. He is decent and ready soon. Idk if start of season though.

Zemgus might shift to LW and Larsson takes 3rd line checking role. That way Zemgus can move up the LW ranks once Vanek is traded and be a top 6 by next year
