the devils will do better next season than this season...

has everyone forgot about henrique? am i the only guy who thinks that guy is a monster ??? so talented..

look at their goalies...possibly the best goalie duo in the league (schneiders claim to fame, keeps going to teams with 2 starting goalies)

look at their young guys, i mean theres just so much to see from the devils they are going to be good and have a very well knowledged coach

- RileyB77

Absolutely agree. 100%. Great post.

Last season imo was everything that could of went wrong did. We had numbers and stats to back up that we should of made the play offs. This upcoming season I think we grab the last play off spot.

this is what I see for next season, take it with 20 lbs of salt because I'm a (frank)ing nobody.

1st line:
LW Drouin-he'll force his way onto this line
C Stamkos-who else?
RW St. Louis? duh!!!!

2nd line:
LW Malone-if he can stay healthy he's awesome and they need a scorer
C Filppula-great two way guy that plays all three zones
RW Purcell-great playmaker that needs to shoot more

3rd line:
LW Killorn-future Malone, but healthy
C Johnson-a little small, but he got talent all over
RW Connolly-has the skills, has the drive. just needs the chance

4th line:
LW Labrie- nothing going on between his ears, but he's fun
C Thompson- best defensive forward on our team
RW Crombeen-solid penalty killer and a decent punching bag

- Artyukhin76

hmm, i can see that...except killorn 2nd line and malone 3rd maybe...killorn is an absoloute force

you guys started off like 10-0-5 didnt you? i dont remember but you had a lot of wins, not many losses, and a lot of ties...the shortened season killed the devils..

19-19-10 in a 82 games schedule and you still have lots of time to turn poop around you are still a 500 team with many ties..the record isnt bad in an 82 game schedule but a 48 game schedule? not good enough..time killed them

then againw e started 6-0 and look where we ended up haha

Malone is more of a scorer then Killorn is, but Killorn may post more points.

once Tocchet identified Stamkos' issue he fixed it. as much as you wanna hate Rick, he did do that. as a coach he was in over his head, but as a guy that helps develop players he's pretty good.
- Artyukhin76

I don't hate Tocchet but I agree he wasn't a great head coach. Just saying that the majority of Stamkos first season / contract year was largely wasted so don't want a repeat with Drouin.

with the likes of stamkos, purcell, st louis, killorn, malone..

(frank) it...with the likes of stamkos and marty alone... drouin will not be counted on to produce all star points, no pressure will be demanded upon drouin, he is surrounded with people who can support the poop out of him

no pressure no worrying no stressing for drouin, he just has to show up and play his game and things will naturally point towards a calder for him

Absolutely know that this would never happen and for good reason.. but if Drouin isn't 100% NHL ready yet, imagine if he spent another year or two in junior ripping it up and dominating, and then a year in the AHL learning the pro ropes. By the time he would reach the NHL he would be completely prepared and ready to step in in a very good position. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if teams just let high draft picks develop for a while before they make the big show, even though it's not likely and I completely understand why

Absolutely. This might not be the right wording, but leaving guys like this in Junior almost wastes a year. Are they truly developing in Junior when they've already proven everything there is to prove?
- Michael_Stuart

I agree they have the skill to some of the best players but haven't developed there body's yet. What do they really get by dominating the chl they need to be challenged to grow. It really is a waste for them something needs to change its not right for the players IMO.

No, he is indeed a legendary animal combining features of animal and human form or having the forms of various animals in combination, as a centaur, griffin, or sphinx.

Now that we're in the dead days of the off-season, I'll do a few more. It's hard to do them during the season when hockey's being played. Equally hard to do when the draft and free agency are at the forefront of coverage.

I still have to think Palat makes this team some how I still question if malone will be traded for a draft pick I think he will.

I think Panik's the logical replacement for Malone. I'm not opposed to seeing Bugsy stick around though.

Were in such a good position with fowards we are going to have Panik, Palat and connolly go back to the AHL at least 2 of these guys. Do you see a trade happing for a defenseman before the season starts ?

Yeah, absolutely. That's why I'm looking forward to more of these. Gives me something to read. Not much else going on. When hockey season is going on, we have enough to keep us occupied!
