I love the way our defense is shaping up for the future
But I'm not so sure our forwards are as bad as ppl make them out to be
Projecting a future lineup, we'd look like this:

Girgensons-Grigorenko-Armia... All 1st rounders, very high ceilings

Ennis-Hodgson-Foligno... Two 1st rounders & a guy ppl think could be captain

Catenacci-Larsson-Tropp... All have grit and scoring ability, could be a fantastic "checking unit"

-and I forgot Flynn, so pencil him into a slot if one of the above doesn't work out

I don't hate that top9 at all if they live up to their potential

-guys like Jacobs, Kea, Schaller & Nelson should be serviceable 4th liners, at minimum

-Bailey, Compher, Hurley & Baptiste are all top9 quality guys too

I think we are looking pretty good

If we can add Reinhart or Nystrom in the next draft we look even better
And in any deal for Miller or Vanek, my starting point is a 2015 1st...
That way we have extra ammo to trade up for McDavid (if need be)

We add 2 of those 3 and I LOVE how our forward group looks
And all these guys will be within 5-6yrs of each other,
So it's a group that could be mostly kept together for a long time

The next two seasons are gonna be rough
But even though we're losing a lot of games, we are going to have so much young talent to watch
And that should be interesting to see how they develop

As our future roster projects out,
We have 5 forwards chosen in the 1st round
And 4 defensemen taken in the 1st

And these kids are all within the same age range,
So as they grow together, there's a lot of potential for the Sabres to turn into quite a team

Ya, it's gonna take some time, which is frustrating...
But I really like how we're setting ourselves up for the future

That basically means nothing in regards to the success of the hotel. There will not be enough events to keep that place full.

I love that Hockeybuzz is filled with so many pro scouts and business analysts in the greater buffalo area.


As this guy said i am certain that a company that's worth billions of dollars has done its research and may have a little more insight into the situation.

I'd rather have a beautiful complex in the spot than another franking parking lot.

In case you aren't aware...Buffalo as a city has its foot in the door and is a city on the cusp of a resurgence. It's taken long enough...but I am just happy to be alive to see it happen.

This, though I would think whatever team trades for him will want to send whatever goalie he is replacing back, pretty sure most teams have 2 guys on 1-way deals at this point. I also kind of expect that second to become a first if Miller resigns.
