Trading for a goalie under thirty with some potential who played well for a Sens team that was practically an AHL squad is probably better then giving up significant prospects and picks for a proven goalie that is 33 has one year left on his deal at a 6.5 cap hit ? (correct me if im wrong). You get a cheap goalie with the cap going down. You have a pretty good idea that he will stick with you since you are the team giving him a shot finally where if Miller doesn't like it he doesn't have to stay. There are reasons that suggest he could have more value then Miller. This does not mean Miller is not good. I would say NJ getting Schneider for the 9th overall pick even though Van had a goalie controversy kind of put a dent in what you guys might get for Miller. To be honest the team that I think bites on Miller is San Jose if they can move Boyle. They are a team with Thornton and Marleau on the last years of their deals they in my mind are the team that are going to try everything to win this year kind of like what Pitt did this past season.

He is 27, not 23, and he has done nothing in the NHL.

A cheap goalie doesn't mean much if he isn't good and consistent for an entire full season, and more.

Never realized how little most Sabres "fans" actually know about hockey and the way things work. Don't understand the hate of Miller. He has done everything he can for this city and team. My point exactly. The teams who would trade for Miller would be teams who aren't contenders who want an upgrade in goal. They aren't trading much just to get a 2 month head start on signing Miller long term.

Miller and a 4th for Oshie, Halak, 2nd. Conditional if Miller signs an extension for 3+ years or St Louis makes it to the SCF, then it becomes a first.

I then move Vanek for McGinn, Stastny+ a 2nd. again contingent on if Vanek resigns with the team. If not it is Stastny and McGinn.

I just feel like St. Louis would be taking 2 steps back if they tried for Miller, he's going to cost you and we all know Darcy will make sure of it. COL and WAS are honestly the only teams I could see that would pay the price for Miller.
