We get it you don't need to say the same thing over and over. That happen to be his opinion and thats fine but a lot of people would disagree. Its very debatable who is better and its so close does it matter. |

Trying to say who has the better prospects at this point is like trying to say who won the draft this year. Both teams are pretty close IMO and both have great futures and the new division should be awesome. - Crazycaboose
I agree! this could boost our rivalry even more! |

Why not? everybody is stating their opinions without really researching both teams. |

I'm just saying its not so cut and dry. As a panther fan i know how unpredictable prospects are who knows where everything ends up. But all i can say is that i hope we are both are competitive for years to come and our rivalry grows even bigger. |

Of course! I think both organizations have elite talent at the prospect level, I was just arguing with the people who said its not even close. I don't see why it would be so far away? but in about 3-5 years I think this rivalry is gonna be freaking awesome man. |

Not according to organizational rankings... - spiegs13
Who says they're right? Bjugstad wasn't impressive, Howden wasn't impressive, so please tell me and everyone else what makes these rankings correct?? Remember, Huberdeau and Markstrom cannot be considered prospects anymore, so please come up with a valid response. Doubt you have one coming from someone who didn't even know Wellman wasn't in the organization anymore from your last blog. |

I didn't get your response about how i couldn't be more wrong about markstrom. You know since right after you said that he resigned right away. |

Yeah that would be good for the game, especially here in Florida. Hockey has been really coming around the last decade, with the possibility of two really good Florida teams? that would be great for Hockey in FL. |

They're definitely comparable. - Fosco
Why are you so hell bent on Pronman. He's writing those in his underwear eating pizza. Those organization rankings are bullsh*t. You can't measure development. |

I'm not. Pronman's is just one of the most recent lists. HF's is no better.
I actually despise both his and HF's rankings. They're rubbish, especially Pronman's evaluation methods, and HF's seemingly arbitrary grading system.
Just playing the devils advocate, and showing the blogger that his statement is incorrect—there are a number of popular sites/organizations that do organizational rankings, and one of the more popular ones, and most recent, has TB ranked ahead of FLA.
The people claiming that FLA and TB's pools are "Not. Even. Close" are wrong.
They are close, and both very good, regardless of whose is actually better. |

Your point is a good one and I am in agreement that both teams have enviable prospect pools being developed. You do seem to flip flop a lot though in the sense that you are now indicating that Pronman's "no better" than the HF list and you now referring to the arbitrariness of both sites' evaluations when you previously used multiple posts with links to Pronman's list as a means of asserting that Spiegel's initial blog assertion was flawed by claiming hockey pundits declare the Panthers a top prospect system. If your true feeling was as your most recent post makes it out to be, than your initial posts with repeated links to Pronman and a proviso that you would keep posting the link until someone showed up with something else (which someone did, with the HF list) don't make sense.
All much ado about nothing though. Both teams have an exceptional prospect pool that will hopefully lead to both teams finding a resurgence at roughly the same time. Both markets have great fans but the rivalry needs to get serious to rekindle some good, healthy interstate hatred. Hopefully that is coming in the next two years for both teams.
If there is one major difference in prospect pools between the two it is that Tampa has a general lack of top end defensive prospects while the Panthers have a deeper pool of top end defensive talent in the pipeline.
