This may be old news, but since it is a slow day I will post this for those like me who didn't see it: http://sports.yahoo.com/n...ancer-185014124--mlb.html

I'm not a Phillies fan, but I remember him. That sucks.

No, no... I am one of you, though not comic books. I was just refering to how Crims reminds me of that douchbag comic book clerk that was the dorky kid in highschool but does nothing but pick on the young comic book nerds because he thinks he is cool now...

Raises hand for comic book geek.
I collect Poison Elves... Witchblade as well. Oooo and Red Star Army. It got canceled before its time.
I liked a lot of Image stuff.
Although it comes out of my anime budget. So I don't have as much as I'd like. Gotta prioritize.

I think I have every comic published between 1984 and 1990. Of course I got them free.

Now I have to be selective about what I pick up since i have a wife a kid and a house. Hellblazer, The Boys (probably not your cup of tea), Chew, I'm a big Peter Bagge fan, Ted McKeever too.

I don't know if I would like it or hate it if NHL teams started to try colored ice. I'm pretty sure I'd hate it though.

I wish I could charge a buck for every time you mention me. At least then I could profit from the obsession.

That couldn't be more hideous. I remember some team inverted the colours and made the ice blue and the crease white. I couldn't even take that. Horrid.

1. Why is the ice colored?
2. Colored ice would be the stupidest thing ever. This isn't NHL Hitz

To be fair, I've wished to someday play an outdoor game at night with no lights. There would be a glowing puck, skates, gloves, sticks, helmets, and maybe a belt or something just to identify where people are. That would be crazy

1. Idk
2. It probably would be. I almost always hate it when a team colors it's basketball court weirdly, but every once in a while you see one that doesn't look half bad. I think if a team actually planned it to look good it could look kind of cool.

My son always wanted to play outside until he played a game in Bryn Athyn in the middle of January with a foot and a half of snow on the ground.

i don't think that is the Alaska Aces, but they paint the ice pink and have two exhibition games every year where the proceeds (part or all, i don't know) go to breast cancer research. it is hideous, but for a good cause.

edit - they also wear pink jerseys.

Would anyone else like to see the NHL do a breast cancer month or something like the NFL does? Besides for the fact that it'd just be a good guy thing to do, the CHL does it and some very nice jerseys come out of it
