I don't understand the need to go get bernier.. - SabresFaninIndiana
If you see the arguement most leafs fan have for Reimer it's that he faced a ton of shots....do you know why he had so many shots......it's because he controls rebounds like a 14 yr old boys controls an erection you never know what's going to happen |

Maybe they were not sold on Reimer for a full season and are going to try a true 50/50 split? - rmiethaner
I am sure that is the case but that could also backfire badly.. |

Bernier mother(frank)ers - Yeti1181
I think the Leafs have a good team and adding Bernier wasn't needed IMO and makes Reimer feel a little uncomfortable I would think. I thought Reimer played well. |

if hasek hasn't then Miller can't even have his skate lace retired - SabresFaninIndiana
Both will have their numbers retired eventually. Hasek will because he simply carried his team in multiple years. Ryan Miller will be more along the lines of LaFontaine: put up a few good years, but his work and presence in the community will push him over the top. |

With most organizations, it would be a push. In Buffalo, it's a lock. Pat LaFontaine really had a small sample size for someone who had his number retired (though his numbers during that time were very good). It was his "folk hero" status that really got his number up there. Miller will be the same way. It's what we do here: we lower the standard. |

After eating cake, Miller will be crying to his wife in Cali explaining how he's way better than Jon Quick. |

Lafontaine gave an amazing effort and when he played you never walked away thinking he was going half speed like current sabres. Pierre Turgeon was a purse holding bum like Myers, soft and lacking in heart. |
