Its very close but I'd give the edge to Colorado in top 6 right now, I've got reason to believe Sacco was holding back that team so unbelievably bad...it scares me as a canucks fan, but same can be said for krueger...but not as bad as the av's...they stunk last year...only thing I can agree with is their defense is better than colorado with the pick ups and signings in the past 2 years...goaltenders...i'm not sold on either teams goaltending personally...it'll be a fun and interesting year to see if those predictions and OPINIONS are true on the ice...but at the end of the day, thats all they are, opinions.

neither mackinnon nor hemsky are pencilled in at top 6.
and mackinnon has never even played a game in the show!! we've been listening to this for 3 years whenever we'd speak of our newly drafted kids. shoes on the other foot now and it works both ways

Both are great young cores, don't get me wrong, and you are right about Mackinnon not being in the top 6 right now...I've got a strong feeling that he'll be slowly moved up to it during the next season...if Hemsky isn't a top 6...who is? Gagner is a 3rd line center...comparable to Bozak...both decent 3rd liners but they're playing as a top 6 because the organizations aren't ready to have them moved to where they should rightfully be...I'd say Tanguay and Perron are pretty well even...and I would take Colorados young core over Edmontons right now...but you can disagree with me all day long...i'm here for the next hour

hemskys a winger. we have eberle and yakupov ahead of him on the right side. he's not in our top 6.
and gagners better than stastny at present. paul's been on a steady decline and was incredibly average last year.

gags cant really play 3rd line center by it's truest definition. unless of course we're rolling 3 scoring lines and he's got strong defensive wingers beside him.
hes offensive and was on pace for 60+ last year.
that's way better than an average 2nd line center, let alone a third.
he also doesn't have the defensive skill to fill a 3rd line role. hes certainly not that

Don't be surprised if you're wrong about Stastny and Gagner this year...Sacco was by far the worst coach in the entire NHL IMO...find me someone who was worse...

just sayin this league is what have you done for me lately. and lately he's been pretty mediocre.
gags had his breakout year last year and was far better. and he's 4 years younger than paul too.

as far as coaching goes, just like you're saying with Colorado, I think the oilers may have found a better coach than previously too..

end of the day, I think it's close and I see tons of similarities between the two teams. and I always try to avoid these silly arguments as our team has been bad for awhile.
but buddy came into our thread and started spewing his bs, claiming on this and that happening, calling out the oilers etc etc.
all after finishing 2nd last in the league and us kicking the stuffing outta them last year.
what's next?? a panther fan talking sh1t??!
